Pentecostal Temple Church of God In Christ continues to pave new road in urban ministry. Conveying deep convictions to balance spirit with biblical accurateness, Elder Matthew Brown has added our newest component to ministry, Pentecostal Temple Bible Institute. Pastor Brown endeavors to provide opportunity to our local church to increase in scriptural knowledge, stimulate more life in service, rightly divide the word of truth and develop workman that need not be ashamed. The Temple vision continues to unfold as "We pursue excellence, until excellence is achieved" (Bishop Robert Sanders "99). Pastors, ministers and lay teachers must be fully furnished with the Word of God in order to minister to the Body of Christ and the world in the new millennium church. A Bible Institute will provide ministry leaders with a comprehensive understanding of pure scripture text and develop theological interpretation consistent with intent of the inspiration. PTBI is an extension of Logos Christian College and Graduate Schools found in 1978 in Jacksonville, Florida, and is an independent educational ministry of the local church. As an extension of an Bible College, PTBI can bring the seminary to you. Given the demand on time and constraints of financial resources to fund a formal theological education, PTBI affords students the opportunity to affordably obtain a certificate, associate or diploma in Biblical Studies. For the more ambitious student, traditional, independent or intensive seminar tracks are available for undergraduate or graduate work. |

Educational Philosophy Our method is "to provide quality, non-traditional education at an affordable price through educators who work in excellence, integrity, honesty, and creativity with the needs of the students as a priority." PTBI is committed to helping you learn to live the spirit-led life. Through the local Bible Institute and College, you will learn sound and balanced doctrine, how to use your Bible wisely, and how to separate truth from error. The result should be spiritual growth, professional training, and greater ability to serve Christ successfully. Reflected in Our Curriculum Our curriculum centers on three major learning streams. The Bible: To understand better and to handle more wisely the sacred scriptures (I Timothy 4:6-16 ). Character Growth: To strive toward "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" and reach toward maturity in leadership and in servanthood (Ephesians 4:13-16). Preparation for Ministry: To enable each person to discover his or her calling in God, and to serve Christ and the Church successfully ( Ephesians 4:11-12; Romans 12:1-7 ) Our curriculum also contains a number of key themes such as concepts of the Church, relationship to the world, basics of Christian life, various major doctrines, pastoral theology, urban missions, counseling skills, and so on. Some of our curriculum is developed by our resident and adjunct faculty. Resident and Adjunct Faculty Our faculty will consist of trained seminarians and experienced clergy from the Buffalo area, along with resident faculty (Jacksonville) along with guest lecturers from around the United States. Our adjunct professors are Holy Ghost filled persons with deep commitments to biblical accurateness, personal integrity and Godly living. As a participant in the Logos program, you will have the opportunity to be enriched by their gifted ministry as they teach their own special ministry subjects.
